Dupe for Dyson Airstrait and the Augustinus Bader cream
Hi, my loves -
Happy Sunday (hopefully not a โscare dayโ for you)!
I want to welcome 15 new subscribers to the newsletter and our community.
I hope our tiny newsletter can bring you back to the good old days when you end your week with into-the-gloss kind of quality reads vs. swiping up all the time.
P.S. If you are forwarded this email, you can subscribe here ๐
Beauty Dupes
We added dupes for two luxury products that would definitely hurt your bank account, the newly launched Dyson Airstrait ($499) and the Augustinus Bader cream ($180).
We created these approval cards ๐ so you can quicky understand why itโs a good dupe.
Let us know if you think they are helpful (we did spend a lot of time designing these).
Effective
If you have oily eyelids - mascara, liners, and shadows smudge easily on you- try the Makeup Forever Aqua seal as a primer.
Many makeup artists recommend this as their secret weapon for long-lasting eye makeup. How so? If you mix this with any eyeshadow you can turn it into a waterproof smudge-proof liner ๐
Allure
How did Taylor Swift prevail through her rainy concert with makeup that didnโt move at all?
Her base product is a full-line Pat Mcgrath, hydrating primer, foundation, and setting powder.
I am personally more interested in her beautiful eyeliner (did she use Makeup Forever Aqua Seal?)
Unconventional
So many brands talk about recyclable packages, but few actually help or teach customers how to recycle.
Credo is walking the talk on helping you recycle your empties with its recycling program.
Tea
Olay, a drugstore brand, just launched a mineral sunscreen that costs $50!!
With inflation, we are all looking for more affordable drugstore dupes.
But now, are we the ones getting duped?
You
Resonate so much with this piece from an NYT article :
Applying it (lip balm) with a Q-Tip under these late-pandemic conditions feels more like eating from a buffet table set up in a biological weapons lab.
Do you feel the same trying on lip products in stores these days?
